The Statesville Country Club learning center is located at the back end of the driving renge.  You will experience a secluded practice facility that includes a 56oo sq. ft. putting green, a 3000 sq.ft. chipping and bunker green along with a grass tee, ten-station artificial tee and an 80 yard short game area.  The golf school will use V-1 computerized technology and current training aides. 

Jay Reid, Director of Instruction

Jay Reid brings 17 years of experience as a Class A PGA professional to the Dana Rader Golf School team.  Jay has an enthusiastic approach to teaching and has teamed with Dana Rader since 1995.  He incorporates a special emphasis on fundamentals into his curriculum, teaching beginners to club champion players.  Jay has published articles in Metrolina Golf and PubLinks Golfer and coaches many successful competitive players.  He has also appeared as a guest professional on the TV show, Play Golf Charlotte, and the radio show On The Green.  Jay grew up in central Virginia and attended Randolph Macon College.  He has competed in numerous pro-ams with a career low round of 64.

• Four hours of instruction specifically designed to improve your game around the greens
• Putting and Sand
• Wedge game to include chipping and pitching
• Distance control from 30-70 yards--scoring strategies

• Recommended for entry level men and women golfers and those who have not had previous instruction or established handicap
• Comprehensive full swing, short game, and on-course instruction

Junior Golf

Ages 9-17

Weekly Clinic Series -  $120 per series

This progressive six week program for juniors introduces the scoring shots around the green and full swing development.  Each clinic includes selected golf game skills.  The series concludes with a short fame scoring course that utilizes different shots learned around the greens.  Instruction is presented in a non-competitive environment, with a creative and enthusiastic approach to learning.  Appropriate for beginning and intermediate golfers, classes are grouped according to skill level, age, and experience.

Pee Wee Clinic -  $20

Pee Wee Golf is a fun and positive learning environment where parents are encouraged to actively support their children during class.  The instructors teach the entire game in a way that is uniquely directed to children.  Throughout the year we will cover course layout, rules and etiquette, full swing, putting, chipping, pitching and sand.

cancellation policy

All transfers and cancellations must be made by calling 704-540-5581 9am - 5pm Monday - Saturday.  If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the following formula:

15+ Days before school:  Full Deposit Refunded

8-14 days before school: 50% of Deposit Refunded

0-7 days before school:  No Refunds

Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including, but not limited to weather and personal emergencies.  There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a school early.  Transfers made 8-14 days prior to class are subject to a $100 transfer fee.  No shows are Non-Refundable.
