“Inspire Greatness” was the theme for the Leadership Summit that preceded the 2015 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, held June 9-14 at Westchester CC in New York. Ballantyne Junior Open Winners Announced
More than one hundred young golfers competed in the 14th annual Ballantyne Junior Open hosted by The Golf Club at Ballantyne on February 7 and 8. The 36-hole stroke play golf tournament was again co-directed by Dana Rader Golf School’s Marc Lapointe, Director of Instruction and Molly Tullar Braid, Director of Junior Golf. The field was grouped into four categories based on gender and age; 13-14 years old and 15-18 years old. View the results.
Dana Rader Selected by Golf Channel as Charter Coach for New Golf Channel Academy
Dana Rader has been selected by the Golf Channel as a Charter Coach for the Golf Channel Academy program beginning it’s nationwide roll-out early April. Golf Channel is announcing the program during coverage of the Masters Tournament, on April 6th. Dana is among the 46 distinguished LPGA and PGA teaching professionals and top instructors tapped as Lead Coaches at 57 top tier facilities across the U.S., and one in Ontario. Dana’s teaching staff is among 145 staff coaches nationwide. Dana Rader Golf School is the sole Golf Channel Academy in North Carolina, to date. Rader will appear on the instructional programming across Golf Channel’s television and digital platforms. Golfers enrolled at Dana Rader’s Golf Channel Academy location will be able to track progress alongside Dana and her staff using advanced software, being phased in, to measure specific goals. DRGS Instructors Recognized by U.S. Kids Golf
Molly Tullar Braid, Director of Junior Golf at Dana Rader Golf School, and Andrew Kiger, “Get Golf Ready” and “New2Golf” Programs Director, have been selected as 2014 U.S. Kids Golf Honorable Mention Top 50 Kids Teachers. With several hundred applicants, and the increasing focus on junior golf, the selection committee faced a tough challenge. Molly and Drew’s recognition is a testament to the outstanding work that they do in coaching young golfers, and to the highly qualified talent on Dana Rader’s team.
