Dana Rader has once again been named to Golf Digest’s lists of 50 Best Teachers in America 2011-12 and The Best Teachers In State. This exclusive list, to be published in Golf Digest’s November 2011 issue, includes the golf industry’s top teaching talent.
Since the first survey in 2000, Golf Digest has used peer voting on the state and national level to build the Best Teacher lists. This year's list was selected by more than 1,000 teachers from all 50 states who filled out an online ballot. There are more than 30,000 golf professionals in the United States who were eligible for consideration.
Dana Rader is ranked number 47 on Golf Digest’s List of America’s 50 Best Teachers 2011-2012 and is ranked number 2 on Golf Digest’s list of The Best Teachers in North Carolina. Dana’s mentor, Peggy Kirk Bell, received the number one ranking in North Carolina.

Golf Shootout Video Charlotte Hounds vs. Dana Rader Golf School
On November 28, Major League Lacrosse and a Top 25 Golf School crossed paths, as Charlotte Hound’s defenseman, Ryan Flanagan, took on Dana Rader Golf School’s Director of Instruction, Marc Lapointe in a head-to-head battle of golf shot-making expertise.
Club-fitting pioneer and leader PING announced today that Stan Roach at Dana Rader Golf School, Charlotte, NC has been honored as 2011 PING Regional Club Fitter of the Year. This is the third time that Stan has achieved this honor as he did so in 2003 and 2009 as well. First given in 1997, the award recognizes the Authorized PING Fitter that has demonstrated the highest commitment to custom fitting and the promotion of its benefits to golfers of all abilities. Nominating Stan Roach at Dana Rader Golf School for the honor was Mark Halloway, Ping Field Representative for the region.

Dana Rader Golf School Named To Golf Magazine’s Top 25 Best in America
"When you want the numbers low, these are the places to go,” stated Golf Magazine with its list of
"The 25 Best Golf Schools in America."
"I am so proud of what this school has accomplished,” said Dana Rader, founder and owner of the school located at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte. The scoring system used by Golf Magazine places the Dana Rader School 13th among the Top 25 and Number 1 in North Carolina.
Nearly 3,700 alumni of various golf schools filled out questionnaires about their experiences. Answers in the following three questions were weighed:

LPGA T&CP National Championship Returns to Ballantyne for its Second Year
The 24th Annual LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) National Championship is returning to The Golf Club at Ballantyne on August 20-24, 2011. A field of 144 LPGA T&CP members from across the globe will come together to compete in this 54-hole Championship for their share of the purse.
There is a great schedule of events and festivities including:
- A VIP Clinic “The Secrets to Generating Power in Your Golf Swing ” with Dana Rader and long ball hitters Annette “Babe” Deluca and Jean Bartholomew is being held on Saturday, August 20 from 2:00-3:00pm. Clinic attendees will receive complimentary access to the LPGA Rolex Reception from 6:00-8:00pm at The Ballantyne Hotel. Clinic registration fee is $50 per person. ($65 after Aug. 1). Registration deadline is Aug. 15. Proceeds go to support the LPGA USGA Girls Golf of Charlotte and First Tee of Charlotte.

Juniors can also get in on the fun during the Free Junior Golf Clinic (ages 6-17) which will follow the VIP Golf Clinic from 3:00-4:00pm, sponsored by SNAG with interactive instruction from LPGA professionals competing in the tournament. This FREE hands-on program will teach the FUNdamentals of golf and will cover the basics of the full swing, short game and putting. Instruction will be administered by top LPGA Teaching Professionals. Be sure to register early! Registration deadline is Aug. 15 and attendance is limited to 100 juniors.
- A Pro-Am competition pairing one LPGA professional with four amateurs is being held on Sunday, August 21 (8:30am shotgun start). Registration deadline is Aug. 1 and space is limited!

Highlights include: interactive golf simulator, expert private golf instruction, video analysis, putting green with advanced technology, championship golf courses, multiple hitting surfaces, and custom club fitting. The golf simulator is open 7 days a week during the Charlotte Athletic Club’s hours of operation. Golf lessons are available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The honors continue for Dana Rader and Julie Cole who have been named to Top 50 female instructors by the LPGA. The women on the list must have at least 10 years teaching experience, be Class-A members of the LPGA Teaching & Club Professional Division.

Top 100 Performers in 2010
Dana Rader Golf School and the school’s Senior Instructor Nancy Harvey have been named to the list of Play Golf America’s Top 100 Performers in 2010. This distinguished list gives The PGA of America an opportunity to recognize PGA and LPGA Professionals for their extraordinary efforts in using Play Golf America programs to increase interest in the game. Designation is based on PGA’s analysis of their various Play Golf America programs.
“These 100 PGA and LPGA Professionals as well as their facilities have established themselves as leaders in implementing our many Play Golf America programs,” said PGA of America President Allen Wronowski. “We are excited to recognize these individuals who truly embody what it means to grow the game of golf.”
LPGA*USGA GIRLS GOLF SITE OF CHARLOTTE
Charlotte has been selected as a site for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, a nationwide developmental golf program that encourages girls ages 7-17 to learn to play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a supportive and positive learning environment. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Charlotte is one of over 130 sites located around the United States. The "home base" of this program will be located at the Dana Rader Golf School, hosted by Site Director Julie Cole and Co-Site Director Molly Tullar.
LPGA*USGA Girls Golf provides an opportunity for girls, ages 7 to 17, to learn to play golf, build lasting friendships and experience competition in a fun, supportive environment. Girls are learning values inherent to the game of golf, such as practice, respect, perseverance, and honesty, preparing them to meet challenges of today's world with confidence.
The program offers a five-level progressive learning system on the course, starting from the green and moving back to the tee. All levels include golf instruction and rules geared to the girls' skill level.
