Jon Meyers

Teaching Professional

Hometown: Grosse Pointe, Michigan
Years Teaching: 15
Education: Lenoir-Rhyne University
Year joined Dana Rader Golf School: 2015

  • Hourly Instruction Rate: $90
  • (4) 1-Hour Lesson Series: $280

With over fifteen years of private club teaching experience, Jon’s style is a blend of three amazing PGA/LPGA Master Professionals: Dana Rader, Bruce Sudderth (Gaston CC) and Bill Hall (Charlotte CC). Early detection is common to all three instructors and the importance of that nuance was not lost on Jon. Continued learning is extremely important and only adds to the lesson or club fitting experience.  Meyers began his golf career at Castle Pines in Colorado, home of the now extinct “International Tournament”. Yes, the milk shakes really are that good. Short game skills are a crucial element of Jon’s teaching philosophy; they definitely will be discussed and each student is continually encouraged to improve. Both Jon’s passion for the game of golf and communication skills are evident when he works with a student, whether they are pee wees, juniors, ladies, or men. All abilities are welcome: beginner, advanced or somewhere in the middle.  Jon is also certified for club fitting and repair. Jon is a native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, but has lived in several places: Colorado, Connecticut, England and North Carolina. Charlotte holds the honor for the longest single residence and where his son was born. Other passions include skiing, mountain biking and tennis (former professional). Jon is looking forward to seeing you on the lesson tee!

Brittany B

Brittnay Beltran Cross

Teaching and Administrative Assistant

Hometown: Fremont, CA
Education: Sports Management - Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, NC
Year joined Dana Rader Golf School: 2010

  • A two-time “Athlete of the Year” award winner at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC

Brittnay Beltran Cross grew up playing junior golf in Northern California from the age of 14. Throughout high school she volunteered for, and came up through The First Tee of Greater Sacramento. While at The First Tee she assisted with various golf programs and it was there that she realized her love for teaching junior golf. After playing competitive golf in high school, she then went on to play collegiate golf for Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC where she graduated in 2009 with a degree in sports management. Brittnay chalked up numerous wins for the golf team, and was a two-time “Athlete of the Year” award winner.

Rather than pursuing a professional playing career, Brittnay’s heart is set on working in golf; especially junior golf. Her love for the game is truly evident when working with our junior golfers—and our students agree! Brittnay’s philosophy is to imbue skills such as sportsmanship, focus, and discipline, that will not only benefit young golfers on the course, but that translate in life as well. Brittnay is a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Instructor, and she assists with camps, clinics and the USGA*LPGA Girls Golf program.
